Update on New Applications to the Scottish Investment Fund
The Scottish Investment Fund is now entering it’s final year for initial investment allocations and to date almost £14m has been approved to a range of Third Sector organisations across Scotland. More recent approved investments include The Wasps Trust and Social Enterprise Clydebank.
There is currently very high competitive demand for investment from the fund and as a result for the period to June 2010 priority will be given to business plans that have already been received, are fully investment ready and have complementary finance agreed and in place.
The fund remains open to new proposals and organisations are still welcome to apply by completing the initial online application form here. All new applicants will be contacted within 48 hours of submission of this form for an initial review, however it will be June 2010 before a further screening of all applicants will be completed. At this stage, depending on investment capital availability, only those organisations who most closely meet the Scottish Investment Fund criteria will be taken forward to the next stage of more in depth due diligence.
